Maria Drencheva

Drencheva is an outstanding young talent in mathematics and artificial intelligence and a shining example of the success of the EXPLORER program. As part of its first cohort, she became the first undergraduate from a Bulgarian university to publish at ICLR - one of the world’s most prestigious AI conferences, and successfully completed an internship at Man Group. EXPLORER is a bachelor’s program in AI and Deep Tech, developed by INSAIT and leading industry partners, with the mission to nurture and retain top Bulgarian talent in cutting-edge technologies. Maria graduated from the Sofia Mathematical High School with top honors. She is a recipient of the National Diploma of the Ministry of Education, and a long-time member of Bulgaria’s national mathematics teams. Her achievements include a gold medal with a perfect score at the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad, a gold medal from the Zhautykov International Mathematical Olympiad, and a laureate title from the National Mathematics Olympiad
