Madalina Ilie is a Founder & Communication Specialist of the Romanian agri-food start-up, Manna Foods Solutions (https://www.mannafoods.eu/about-us/) and the co-founder of green-tech start-up Eleon Energy Systems. She has started these start-ups because she truly believes that we have to start rethinking the way we use all our resources in the context of the challenges and changes we are living today. At the core of all my projects stays the component of social impact and how my start-ups' innovative projects can help people globally especially when they face harsh living conditions. The innovations we brought through these two startups are connected with future food, dry food-new concept, 3D food printing and clean energy. Together with my team, we have won knowledge at European level and prizes, among which I can mention: 2nd place European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) - Food Innovation Prize, 2020, Romania finals, 3rd place Women Start-up Competition powered by Avon & Partners, Romania finals, 2019 Edition, Bucharest, Romania and I was nominated by https://therecursive.com, The Online Tech Media of Central and Eastern Europe, to be among Romanian women in tech, a map with 10 verticals and 30 female founders-(https://therecursive.com/who-are-romanian-women-in-tech-a-map-with-10-verticals-30-female-founders/). I also have multiple media appearances in which I promote my projects and the need of food innovation in the context of accelerated technology development, climate change, accelerated growth of world population, agricultural resources and food consumption in space expeditions (https://www.mannafoods.eu/media/). Her professional background is also related to: business and political communication, telecommunications, food innovation and technologies and media relations. She is also a passionate advocate of encouraging and motivating young people to make changes in the world through education, critical thinking, courage and following the inner voice.
